My pieces are all paintings of lips deconstructed and put back together or multiplied.

My concentration is distorting lips/mouths with an emphasis on texture. At this point I feel like I need to go back to at least half of my paintings and add more to them. I feel like I am going to go in the direction of making the lips kind of creepy and layering in more texture. I want to start to use different color palettes like cool colors instead of warm. At this point I'm kind of uneasy because I really just want to go back and change a lot of my paintings to make them look more developed.
This one is not my least favorite but all of my paintings are at school so I couldn't take a picture of them. My least favorite would be my smallest one of someone screaming with a purple background. With this painting though, I hate the colors that I used. I want to go back in and put some dark purples and blues into the lips. Do you think that would be a mistake?
